Business Activity Statements (BAS) are commonly required in order to prove income if you are self-employed. Some lenders only require an income declaration and do not need BAS, an accountant’s letter or bank statements to verify the income that you declare.
BAS statements are not required for a variety of loan amounts:
- 60% of the purchase price (LVR): No BAS statement is required. It only necessary to prove that you are self-employed by evidencing the existence of an ABN for one day or more. Further, it is important that you have a clear credit record.
- 80% of the purchase price (LVR): No BAS statement is required. You must have an ABN that has been registered for at least two years to confirm self-employment. Further, it is important that you have a clear credit record.
